Devon McDonald Counselling - About Counselling

Therapy can help with a wide range of issues such as stress, trauma, grief, depression, insomnia, and panic. It can also help with relationship issues. It may be that you have a wide support network but that you need someone neutral and outside of your current situation to help you work through some difficult situations.

I offer ongoing counselling for adults and teenagers (11+) who may like to explore their current issues, how their past has affected the way they react to their current issues and work to look at how they would like to react in these situations going forward. I also offer EMDR therapy (adults only) which is more regularly used for symptoms of PTSD but is also helpful for other traumas which, when taken into account together, would benefit from reprocessing.

I work with adults and teenagers, offering the therapeutic intervention most appropriate for your needs. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood. Sometimes, talking about your issues helps you to understand yourself and your behaviours more clearly. This knowledge can help you decide whether you would like to make any changes to improve your life.
